Remember last decade when GM offered overnight test drives? It wasn't the only automaker to do it; Ford and Volkswagen reportedly did, too. Now GM has unearthed the 24-hour test drive for its Buick division, which allows you to spend a whole day (and night) behind the wheel of a Buick Enclave, Encore, LaCrosse, Regal or Verano.

Schedule the test drive at a participating dealership, drop off your own car, take the Buick and return it up to 24 hours later. You have to be at least 21 with proof of insurance, plus a valid driver's license in the state where the dealership is. You also can't cross state lines, go off-roading or tow anything during those 24 hours, Buick said, and you're responsible for the gas you use. So no free road trips (to the next state, at least).
Still, it's a good chance to put a Buick through its paces without a salesperson riding shotgun. But not every dealer is onboard. The Detroit News reports about 1,000 Buick dealers are participating, and that's only about half of all Buick dealers in the country, according to Automotive News' dealer census from January 2015.
There are no additional financial incentives attached to the program, according to The Detroit News, and, as of now, there's no end date. If you're interested, book a 24-hour test drive at Buick.com/testdrive.
