With its aggressive, shoulder-shrugged stance, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S550 coupe could be the luxury car version of Looney Tunes' Spike the bulldog. But instead of the studded collar one might find on a strutting, tough-guy mutt in the alley, the long, swooping S550 coupe that Cars.com recently tested wears a piercing stare from its LED headlights and a wide, strong-jawed countenance courtesy of its grille, exaggerated Mercedes-Benz emblem and gaping lower-front-end.

As Cars.com reviewer Aaron Bragman described when he first got a look at the new S-Class coupe last year, long doors extend back to pillarless side windows, finishing at a high tail bearing thin, racy taillights. "The overall look is sporty yet elegant, communicating power and wealth but in a different way than the more stately S-Class sedan," Bragman said.
