Destined to be a future classic—or, uh, not—the Scion xB will have one final moment in the spotlight in the form of the camouflaged, dark-tinted 686 Parklan Edition.
-After 12 years, the xB is retiring—thereby joining many of its buyers—and so this marks the last special edition model. Created via a partnership with Los Angeles–based snowboard clothier 686, only 686 examples will be built, all as 2015 models. For $20,480, you get an xB wearing a bronze coat (an exclusive color called Cocoa Bean Metallic) and featuring blacked-out badges, mirror caps, door handles, and 16-inch wheels. There are also a few bright red accents.

Inside, green and tan camo patterns from 686’s Parklan jackets dress up the seat sides and backs; the driver’s seat also gets a tiny zippered pocket. Diamond-stitched black vinyl inserts and rubber floor and cargo mats with “686” lettering add some zing to the xB’s base-level interior. The Parklan comes only with an automatic transmission, and the sole option is a rooftop cargo carrier. While Scion says that the Parklan can be “used on the streets or the slopes,” a front-wheel-drive xB probably shouldn’t tread anywhere where snowboarders see their own breath.
