Interested in Jaguar’s first-ever crossover? What are your feelings on Shanghai, China? If both are right up your alley, here’s a photo that should strike an emotional chord or three: Jaguar’s new F-Pace, fully uncovered and sans camouflage, parked against the Shanghai skyline (or Photoshopped into an image with the Shanghai skyline). This is probably doing a number on your excitement levels, so allow us to calm you down with news that this is the only such photo Jaguar has released; the rest (including final specifications) will need to wait until the Frankfurt auto show in two weeks.

Having so far only seen the final F-Pace in concept, rough prototype, and covered-up production guises, this marks our first look at the Jaguar SUV customers will soon be able to buy. As we suspected, the F-Pace is nearly identical to the C-X17 concept version shown in Frankfurt two years ago, meaning it’s an athletic and attractive thing. Particularly in this profile view, the F-Pace more closely resembles a raised sport wagon than a full-blown suburbia-crawler. Stay tuned for more on the crossover, including perhaps photos of it parked in different cities. We know for sure at least one will be on the show floor in Frankfurt, Germany.
