The announcement comes just as the 2016 Civic sedan prepares to go on sale at U.S. dealerships Thursday. The sportier-styled coupe will follow later as the second in a 10th-generation Civic lineup also slated to include a high-performance Si model, a hatchback and the U.S. debut of the track-ready Type-R.
Also showing up in L.A. will be the five-seat Clarity Fuel Cell sedan, which Honda says is the world's first production fuel cell sedan to house the entire fuel cell stack and drivetrain in the front engine compartment. Expected to launch in 2016, the low-carbon-emissions vehicle boasts a 300-mile range and 3-minute refueling time, according to the automaker.
Honda is slated to unveil the cars during the L.A. auto show's media and industry preview days, and we'll be on the scene to bring you more info as it comes.
