2015-2016 Audi Q3 Key Issue

CARS.COM — Vehicles affected by service bulletin:

  • 2015 Audi Q3
  • 2016 Audi Q3

The problem: When the key is in the center of the console storage area under the climate control module, one of the following messages appears in the instrument cluster's driver info display:

  • Key not in vehicle
  • Remote key not recognized

This is due to the remote key being too close to the Aerial 1 receiver for Access and Start Authorization, which is under the center console area, directly under the climate control module.
