Sure, at the time we laughed. “Solid metal snake?” we chortled. “For realz?” we guffawed. It turns out that the future is now, and it’s terrifying. Just witness this unsettlingly animated mecha-tentacle activate and find its way to the Model S’s charging port.
--Now, to be fair, the company is still calling it a prototype, and there’s no word as to whether such a device could make it to production anytime soon. Which is probably a good thing—I mean, this robot is pure, 100-percent nightmare-inducing. Don’t let your kids watch this, they won’t sleep for days.
