Ferrari’s new high-output F12berlinetta, the F12tdf, uses the same basic V-12 engine as the regular model but sees a host of small enhancements that boost horsepower from 730 to 769. The jump comes without turbochargers, a supercharger, or a magical fairy beneath the F12tdf’s hood sprinkling engine cocaine over the V-12. Instead, there are variable-geometry intake trumpets, mechanical tappets, a lighter intake plenum without resonators, wider air boxes, a new intake, new throttle valves—you know what?
