The Very Best Rides of SEMA 2015, Day One

(Watch early videos of the LSx Willys at the drag strip, and you’ll understand why the addition of a cage—nay, the addition of anything masquerading as a roof—is a big deal.) The rear tires are appropriately huge to deal with the LS engine’s might, and whimsical stickers such as “MAX POST SPEED 35 MPH” and “did somebody say cage?” (complete with outline of Nicolas Cage) complete the look. We’d love to drive this massively overpowered short-wheelbase, lightweight grunt machine, but we think killing ourselves would be more efficiently accomplished by attempting to mount a nearby rhinoceros.-Koni Shocks / Flyin’ Miata 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata-Koni Shocks / Flyin’ Miata 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata-SKJ Customs Shorty Volkswagen Bus-SKJ Customs Shorty Volkswagen Bus-Mackin Industries Volkswagen e-Golf-Mackin Industries Volkswagen e-Golf--
