CARS.COM — Ford has called the 2016 Mustang Shelby 350GTR the most track-capable 'Stang in history. We recently got some track time with the fast-and-furious Mustang variant at Roebling Road Raceway outside Savannah, Ga.

The canary-yellow GT350R we tested announces its intentions with a double black racing stripe that stretches straight down the car's middle. Its gaping black maw gives off the impression of an ill-tempered manta ray, while its carbon-fiber wheels, massive downforce-generating rear wing, wide tires and low-slung stance work in concert to get the most out of its 526-horsepower, 5.2-liter V-8.
