Genesis New York Concept Photo Gallery

CARS.COM — Hinting at the future of its vehicles' styling, Genesis (the brand, not the band) revealed its New York Concept sport sedan, appropriately, at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. Like the G80 and G90 sedans, the New York Concept has an upright hexagonal grille. The grille's black backing gives it a more aggressive look than its production counterparts. Thin LED headlights and large vents on each side of the grille add an edginess to the front end. In back are taillights nearly as thin as the headlights and four exhaust tips, two on each side of the car.

The styling inside is not nearly as production ready as the exterior. A gigantic, curved 21-inch screen displays both the instrument panel and multimedia controls and information. An open steering wheel allows the driver a better view of the instrument panel portion of the screen. The center console runs from the front all the way to the backseats and houses a Central Control Panel capable of reading single- and multifinger swipes, recognizing handwriting and even responding to hand gestures a la "Minority Report," enabling the user to "toss" displayed content and move it to a different screen area.
